I'm a passionate Architecture student interested in model-making and harmonising architecture with nature to create an environmentally friendly future. The showcased work presents my ideas of fostering a balance between architecture and the environment to produce innovative and sustainable designs.
Eco-Nexus is a sustainable vertical farm located in Sheffield, UK based in the year 2050. It provides a locally grown food source and distribution to the urban population for a greener and environmentally friendly future. It aims to tackle future problems such as land use, climate change, pollution, overpopulation and the consequential food demand and unemployment.
The brief for the project The Incubator, Prototypology, involves designing a prototype for a modular individual dwelling for Sheffield in the year 2050. Environmental and sociological perspectives drive future design, where my project explores the use of spaces and how future architecture can adapt to us, the users, and the surrounding environment. The apartments include adaptable features, such as the rotating floors.
The Kinder Scout Mass Trespass project involves designing a visitor centre in the village of Hayfield, located in Derbyshire, England. The aim of this project is to design a visitor centre to encourage the engagement and interaction of different people to create unique experiences with and within Hayfield, and its surrounding environment and history. ‘The Hayfield Trespass Group’ was established in 2011, where this visitor centre will celebrate the trespass, educate outsiders on Hayfield, and provide facilities for both the locals and tourists who visit. Having such facilities will allow for the transfer of knowledge, experiences, and enhance the community spirit to present the interesting story Hayfield has to tell. With this, the aim of the visitor centre is to celebrate the growth and emergence of communities and to further bring people together to share knowledge and experiences about Hayfield and the environment that surrounds it.
