Masterplan Hot Air Balloon’s Eye View
Masterplan

In Bucharest, a city marked by boundaries, a revolutionary hot air balloon factory aims to redefine limitations. This innovative space will not only produce hot air balloons adorned with traditional Romanian embroidery and celebrating the nation’s aviation history, but it will also double as a clothing upcycling center during the off-season. Utilizing a biomass process, the factory will convert residential waste into fuel for the balloons and energy for Bucharest’s grid. This commitment to circularity extends to the factory’s structure, incorporating repurposed blocks from a demolished communist building. The balloons themselves will become eye-catching advertisements, drawing tourists and generating revenue for local businesses. This project exemplifies how creativity can turn boundaries into opportunities, fostering sustainability, cultural pride, and economic growth in Bucharest.
