My approach to architecture has developed throughout the BArch and MArch but I have always remained conscious of greenspaces and community within all projects I have completed.
There are a significant number of greenspaces in Bucharest, Romania and many tree lined streets, making it a reasonably green city. However, when visiting the city I noticed many of the greenspaces felt undervalued and unloved. My masterplan responds to this and aims to create an area of the city that houses different typologies of greenspace that each offer a different ecosystem service.
The masterplan is therefore educational in some way, showing people the unseen value that greenspaces have such as providing habitat for nature or regulating water and air pollution. Each of the spaces are designed and planted differently to highlight their roles.
