The final year of the MArch degree began with an urban regeneration project in Bucharest, Romania. This involved redesigning a parcel of land left abandoned in the historic city after the fall of the communist dictatorship by Nicolae Ceaușescu in the 20th Century.
This masterplan above explores how Strategic Peacebuilding techniques from conflict transformation theory are useful for improving societal conditions in the built environment. The masterplan aims to increase Public Participation through programs and functions, Power Redistribution through reclaiming pedestrian rights of way, as well as Platform Building as a mechanism for upskilling local stakeholders.

In the second phase of the project, I have designed a building for the Entrepreneurial Diaspora (returning Romanians) to cultivate new entrepreneurial businesses in the local area for social impact. This project is still on going and is in the final construction detail phase.
