As a Part 2 MArch student at Loughborough University, I am passionate about exploring the complex and creative intersections of architecture, design, and the built environment. My academic projects have comprehensively addressed psychological, political dimensions, artistic elements, and sustainable solutions.
The Romanian expression “Complexul Oamenilor” means “The Complex of People.”
It refers to a feeling of isolation or alienation that people may have in connection to
others, but it has a broader symbolic significance. It can also be used to define feelings of
inadequacy or inferiority that people may have in comparison to other people.
The expression is frequently employed in relation to social or cultural criticism. It can be
used to characterise the feeling of alienation that individuals may experience in big,
impersonal cities or in highly stratified societies. It can also be used to characterise the
feelings of inferiority that people could experience in comparison to those who are
thought to be more accomplished or successful.
It is possible to utilise the phrase positively or negatively. It can also refer to a sound sense
of humility and self-awareness in certain situations. It can also refer to a crippling feeling of
uneasiness or self-doubt in other contexts.
The versatility of the expression has allowed for the representation of the negative and
non-human aspects of the city and my initiative to implement elements of humanisation,
referring to the positive usage of the phrase.
The 3400 square metres of space that the planned mixed-use complex offers, distributed among three connected buildings, are thoughtfully designed to merge a variety of architectural features. It is an essential part of an extensive masterplan. These buildings, which include a hotel, a workplace, and a recreation centre, are all thoroughly created to meet distinct requirements in the urban environment, Hotel Radio.
Hotel Radio is a dynamic urban experience that fosters creativity, teamwork, and social interaction, with special attention paid to sustainability, aesthetics, and utility. The mixed-use complex becomes a bustling hub that enhances the local neighbourhood and offers a wide range of facilities and possibilities for residents, tourists, and stakeholders alike.
