As a hands-on student, I enjoy exploring sustainability and social development within the context of architecture. I aspire to use these interests to pursue a career in placemaking in the urban realm to foster stronger community interactions.

P3 – TEXTURA

This scheme reimagines the fashion industry by educating the public on its current issues, promoting sustainable production and healthy working conditions. Located in Putney, London, plastic waste is collected from the River Thames and spun with mycelium fibres to create new clothing in a healthy production environment. Public design workshops and runways encourage more diverse design opportunities.

Perpendicular Elevations and Sections – triple-height atrium, public colonnade, floating shop on the River Thames.
Concept – bringing to light the sustainability and humanitarian issues within the fashion industry.
Concept – creating a spectacle of the plastic
pollution in the River Thames.
Concept – elegant, simple architecture that complements the surrounding landscape.

P2 – ZEN IN THE CITY

This scheme promotes a peaceful break from the bustle of Putney High Street, London, through three key pillars: collaboration, growth and wellbeing. A rooftop co-working hub, park, auditorium and café encourages networking amongst local residents and businesses. Pods with desks, meeting rooms and phone booths are fully immersed in gardens to create a break from city-life and improve air quality.
